5 Days till Christmas

Wow, Christmas is coming fast. Wasn't it just Thanksgiving? Seems to me it was.. I have been busy wrapping presents. This year I was a little more organized. I put all the presents but 1 in a certain spot in my house. Of course I forgot where I had put the one.. Had to look 3 places before I said, "oh, yes I think I remember"..yes it was there right where I put it..LOL Anyway I am ready for christmas..

Baby Quilts

Our quilt guild had a float in the christmas parade in our small town this year. Two of the guild members walked alongside the float and handed out baby quilts. Here is 2 that I made. I put flannel on the back and it made them so nice and warm. The temp. outside the night of the parade was 29 degrees F. and my oh my was it cold.......Brrrrrr...... Our float won 2nd place... Yeah!!!!!!! We were all excited.. I just joined this guild about 4 months ago. I plan to have lots of baby quilts made to pass out at next years christmas parade......

Update on WIP

My quilt top now covers the top of a king size bed. I'm thinking I will add 2 more rows of pineapple blossoms and then just 1 border to kind of frame it. I am hoping to have the top complete by the 31st of Oct. There I have made myself a 'to be completed' date. Now I feel obligated. I would like to get it finished so I can hopefully get it quilted....My fingers crossed XXXX.

Busy Time

September was very busy for me. I joined a quilt guild in my area and I am enjoying it. We only meet once a month but there is lots of inspiration there.
We have had so much rain here in Ky. the grass just won't slow down growing...sooo we just have to keeep on mowing......ugh...takes away my quilting and crafting time.....Our flowers have been beautiful......

Fall has arrived!

The leaves are turning beautiful colors and the weather is nice and cool. That means more time to quilt and knit. In Sept. hubby and I went to Yellowsprings, Ohio to Wool Gathering.. It was great. Lots and lots of roving and wool already spun, in beautiful colors.

Hi everyone I am new to blogging but I am gonna give it a try. Fall is just around the corner and most of us quilters will be picking up the needle and thread and working on fall/christmas projects.
