Mid November already....

This year is flying by.. Wintercraft was yesterday at our local elementary school. Seems like I just attended the one last year, only yesterday..  I love to see and buy new crafts. I bough some creamsicle fudge. It is "wonderfully delicious". If you remember and like the old time "dream sicle" ice cream bars then you would like this.
Orange Creamsicle Fudge
3/4 cup margarine (1 1/2 stick of margarine)
                                                                         3 cups sugar
7oz. jar of marshmallow cream
2/3 cup of evaporated milk (5oz)
10 oz. of vanilla chips (white chocolate)
3 tsp. orange flavoring
9 drops of red food coloring
12 drops of yellow food coloring

Mix sugar, milk and margarine in heavy saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat while stirring. Boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla chips and marshmellow cream. Stir until chips are completely melted. Remove about 2/3 cup of mixture and set aside. Add flavoring and coloring to remaining mixture left in the pan. Mix well and pour into a 9x13 greased baking dish. Stir in the cup of remaining mix using a butter knife and making swirling motions. Refrigerate until completely cool. Cut into squares. Enjoy!!!!
P. S. Don't forget to take out the calories!!LOL

It's a nice 63degree evening here tonight.. I love it.  Been so busy working at my mom's. We have tore out her kitchen and are putting up paneling and click flooring.  Then she wants cabinets. This is taking awhile but it is looking much better. She has been staying with me until we get her kitchen back together. It's going slow but sure..
No quilting gettting accomplished here for now. I am looking forward to getting back to it though as soon as I can.......
Hope you are having a wonderful fall///

Dropping in.......

My how time does fly.. Its been a few days since I have blogged. I have been helping my mom move back from Michigan. We have been cleaning, cleaning and cleaning.. Now we are lifting, lifting and lifting box after box trying to get things where it might belong until we decide it would be better somewhere else. You ladies know what I mean don't ya?  We gals are always moving things. My hubby use to say he knew to turn the lights on when he came home from 2nd shift because more than likely I had moved the furniture while he was at work and he wouldn't know where the sofa may be.. ( I told him it just kept him on his toes!)
Nothing quilty going on here too much moving..  Although we had quilt guild on the 4th and had a wonderful lady come with her quilt bus and had demonstrations, and of course fabrics to purchase. We had a wonderful day and lots of fun and great food. Our quilters in our guild sure can cook.
Until next time have a great day.....

Goings on.....

Today I made (2) 16.5" square friendship blocks. I will try to get a pic of them and post it.  I was in a hurry to get them completed (for guild meeting on Oct. 4th) and out of the way.  My mom and step dad  are on their way to my house from Michigan. The will be closing on a house here on Monday, and then Wed. or Thurs. moving in.  Everyone will be busy but we want to get it done before the fall rains set in or the snow starts blowing.  I know they are excited about getting to come back to Ky for they are both from Ky originally.
Have a great day.....

Great product..

I have used Burt's Bees lip balm for a long time. I have recently found that our Wal Mart has several of their other products as well. They are great..I have tried their toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soaps and I just love them.  I don't work for them, I just wanted to let others know how wonderful their products are and they are natural.   Check out  http://www.burtsbees.com/ If you give them a try I don't think you will be disappointed at all.
Now on to a quilty blog post....
I have been doing my snowman embroidery and sewing some half square triangles together for my "Grandmothers nine patch star" quilt it is done with 30's fabrics. If you want to see the fabrics I am using go to my old post "June4, 2010".  I will post a pic of it soon.
I try to sew everyday. I am the kind of person that has to accomplish something everyday or I feel down.. I know that is silly sounding but it is true.  I have to stay motivated. I keep myself that way by visiting quilting blogs, especially http://quiltville.blogspot.com/  and  http://quiltville.com/ I love Bonnie's blog and site. She gets sooooo much done and it just seems to have a way of posting things about quilting that just is so high energy and contagious. It's worth checking out..
I am off to get some things done around here....yes sometimes we must do house chores..boo hoo...
Sewing will come a little later..
Happy Quilting.....
