Dresden quilt

Another finished quilt.  This is a dresden quilt and it is made in 30's fabrics.
The quilting on it is stippling around the dresden blocks and ruler work in the blue area.
There is also a little flower in the corners of the white blocks.
In the small white border I used a stencil.  In the blue border I done stippling.
The quilt has a beautiful yellow backing.
I learned a lot while making this quilt because this was my first attempt at ruler work.
Hope you enjoy.

Another quilt finished.

This quilt was made for a young man that outgrew a quilt that i made him when he was very little. He loves quilts and that makes me soo happy.  I call this my Ocean Quilt.  I saw a similar one on pinterest and is where I got the idea.

Giving this another try..........

I gave up on blogging when I deleted several things but have decided now to try again.
It will be 99% quilting.

Here is disappearing pinwheel/churndash. It is a Missouri Star pattern from their tutorials.
This was made using leftover fat quarters that I had. The border is batik. It has all the colors of the pinwheel/churndashes in it. This will be so pretty when quilted.  If anyone has ideas for quilting I would  be happy to hear them as I  don't have a idea yet of how I will quilt it.

Hope you had a wonderful and safe weekend.

More quilt pics to come.

Trying this again.

Been away for a long time due to happenings in life. Some have been really good.
One being hubby bought me a new quilting machine. An Innova and I love it. So you can guess what has been keeping me quite busy. Yes, quilting.  I hope to have lots of quilt pics to post. I am doing a lot of edge to edge or pantagraphs but I am learning. I want to do more free motion quilting but I am a little nervous about it. I think I am afraid of failing. I know I just need to jump in with both feet as the old saying goes.

I have lots of quilt pics to put on here as soon as I figure out how to get them from my ipad to this laptop. If only you knew me and my computer skills you would understand. LOL

Sorry this isn't a great pic but it is a beautiful quilt. This was for my moms Christmas a couple years ago. Needless to say she loved it.
I have more to share  so come back soon and visit.
